Doing the dishes..

My morning began with a lecture in chromatography from 07.30 to 09.30. The lecturers here at UFPR do not waste any time on breaks and such, so those two hours of sitting on a wooden chair seriously gives me butt-ache.

Enough about that.. After my morning class I went down to the lab to help Emerson do the "chemistry dishes". Working in a lab is similar to working in a kitchen in many ways (except you do not lick the spons in a laboratory), and so there are also times when you have to clean up the mess you make during your experiments. Of course there are some things that are disposable, but I have noticed that here at UFPR they are restrictive when it comes to the use of material in the laboratories. Primarily it is because of economic reasons, but it comes with a nice environmental friendly bonus.
