Thursday lab
Ok, I am sorry for all the lab-pictures, but I assume you are starting to get use to it in some kind of positive manner rather than annoyed by it.
Anyway, this Thursday morning we did the last part of our group project and analysed the product we had obtained from the synthesis last week. To be hones it did not go very well.. We are now trying to figure out a better way to find out the purity of the crystals we have on our hands, because the method we tried out this time sure did not work. Haha. Well, that is the beautiful nature of science (and maybe even life in general?): The failures keeps you going..
And speaking of failures: Two students accidentaly set a bunch of filter-papers on fire when they were heating up some flammable and very volatile solution. Oh, the drama!! Note: No animals or people were harmed..
